BRIGHTWOOD

Hi, I'm Margaret - a woodworker and media professional living in Los Angeles, CA. Brightwood is a passion project which brings together two of my favorite things: woodworking and food. And now, I'm so happy to share my handmade pieces with more than just my close family and friends. Having grown up in a large family, shared meals remain some of my warmest memories.

My grandfather, Earl Pardue Sr. owned a horse farm in Burlington, NC which was named Brightwood Stables. Daddy Earl began studying fine woodworking and carpentry out of a growing desire to build birdhouses to woo birds into his backyard and into view. He later built handmade furniture for his family, turned a baseball bat for a grandson and built oh, so many birdhouses. Brightwood is a nod to his legacy, to family, and that farm.

I hope these pieces encourage you to dig in, get your hands dirty, and make meals to nourish yourself and your loved ones.
